Description

Starting from your cruise ship, and after making stops on the coastal road of Piraeus to take some pictures, we reach the Acropolis hill. Here you will visit Acropolis and its monuments, Propylaea, Parthenon, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Areopagus, Theater of Dionysus. We continue with a visit to the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Hadrians Arch . We move to modern history and go to the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games were held, in 1896. Driving to the highest point of Athens, we stop at the Lycabettus Hill, from where the view of the whole city is magnificent.

We will continue our Athens tour heading back to the city. We make small stops for photographs of the old Royal Palace and the Zappeion Hall and at exactly the right time, we will arrive at the Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where we will watch the Changing of the Presidential Guard.                                                                                                                                          

Then, driving through the city, we will stop to photograph beautiful buildings such as the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Old Parliament, the Numismatic Museum and the Christian Catholic Church.                                                                                 

Once we complete our tour in Athens, we dine at a Greek restaurant, with you choosing the dishes.

After lunch, we will continue our Athens and Cape Sounio tour driving on the coastal road heading to Cape Sounio.

We pass the famous areas of Glyfada and Voula and make our first stop at the beautiful Vouliagmeni. There, we will enjoy the view of the organized beach and the marina, and then, make our visit to Lake Vouliagmeni, famous for its thermal baths. 20 minutes are enough to tour the lake.                                                                                                                                                                 

We continue our journey, passing through picturesque villages and make small stops, in order to take pictures of the beautiful beaches.                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Finally, we arrive at Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. There is sufficient time for coffee, with a breathtaking view to the Aegean Sea!

After our visit to the Temple of Poseidon, we take the way back, having with us hundreds of pictures and great memories.
