Description

We start our tour, heading northeast of Athens and make our first stop after 50 kilometers, at the famous lake of Marathon.

We admire the artificial dam and the lake which is a source of water supply to the city of Athens.

The next stop is the town of Marathon, where we will visit the museum of the Marathon route (race).

Personal belongings of known marathon runners, donated by them to the museum, will surprise you (medals, cups and so on).

Our next photo stop is at the Stadium, where every year, the Authentic Marathon Race starts.

Continuing, we reach the Tomb of Marathon, created in honor of the fallen in the battle of Marathon against the Persians.

Finally, we visit the Archaeological Museum of Marathon, where you will see great finds.

Upon our return, we follow the original route of the marathon road to the city of Athens.
